The Power of Prayer & A Prayer Request

Praising God this morning for Cat, who made a profession of her faith and is going to be baptized this coming Sunday at Living Waters!

Prayer:  I was approached by a group of Christian businessmen who have an 8000 square foot building that they are making available for us to use, if it will serve our ministry purposes.  Please pray that we will make a wise decision in this matter.  The great news, NO RENT!!!!!

I spoke last Sunday on the power of prayer and the ability it has to change our lives, situations, relationships...well, everything!  If we are going to experience God's answer and the life He has for us, we must come to Him in prayer.
When we come:
1)Come without sin
2)Come without anger
3)Come without disagreement with those we are expected to agree with

Could this be why our prayer life suffers?  Could this be why we are not living the abundant life?  God wants us to come to Him!  After all, He is our Father, and He only wants what is best in our lives!

Jesus Is the ONLY Way!

I would like to begin by praising God for the opportunity to see Brittany baptized this past Sunday morning!
God continues to amaze as great things are happening at LWC, we are praying and ask that you please pray that God will give us the increase and that we will reach our community and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This past Sunday I spoke on The Building Block of Jesus, and our need as the church to understand that although we live in a society that teaches us to be tolerant and accepting of all religious views, there is only one way to heaven and that is Jesus Christ!

God's whole purpose in sending Jesus to the earth was to provide salvation for the entire world.  God saw and understood that man will never be able to keep a set of rules to the full in order to gain entrance into heaven.

The religions of the world ask their followers to live up to standards that NO man will ever be able to completely fulfill.  This leads to their judgment, and in return eternal separation from God.

All that God asks from His followers is that we believe on Jesus Christ and accept Him in our hearts.  After that, it is pretty easy; we are called to live for Him, love Him, worship & praise Him, and be a testimony of God's power to the unbelieving world.

If you are struggling today, put your faith in Christ!  Know beyond any shadow of a doubt that you have assurance of eternal life in the presence of God.

Report from June 7th Service at Living Waters Church

We are praising God for what He did yesterday:

4 new church members!
1 new sister in Christ!
2 babies dedicated to the Lord!
Debut of our puppet ministry!

I am so thankful for the progress that LWC is making!  I want to give a shout out to all those who are helping make things happen!  Know that without your help and your prayers, we would not be seeing God move the way He is moving.

I preached yesterday on the importance of us receiving the mercy of God and then passing the mercy of God on to others.  We will not grow as individuals or as a congregation if we are holding the grace of God all to ourselves.
Find someone today to forgive - to help - to encourage - to love.  Allow your hands and your feet to be the hands and feet of Christ today!

God Bless,
Pastor Chris

The Building Block of Sound Doctrine

First of all...Praise God for our 2 new sisters at Living Waters Church!

Yesterday, I began a series on Building a Growing Church, and stressed the need for us to be committed to sound doctrine.

When your life is committed to, and in touch with the Word of God, several good things come about:
1) Love from a pure heart ~ this will enable you to do what is best for the other person, regardless of what it may cost you, and even without receiving anything in return.
2) A good conscience - we live in a time when our inborn sense of right and wrong has been perverted (Jn. 16:2).  If you spend time in the Word of God, you will not be faced with so many gray areas, but instead will be able to correctly identify what is right and what is wrong.
3) Sincere faith - This allows you to know that you know that you know that you are a child of God!  There will be no doubting because you will understand that God's Word teaches when you are in the hand of your Father, you are safe and secure!

There is NO substitute for the Word of God being preached and taught in our churches.  If you will fill your life with God's Word, you will grow, and when the storms of life come, you will be able to stay the course and achieve your goals for God's Kingdom!

God Bless,
Pastor Chris
