Mexico Mission Trip

Let me begin by praising God for the two souls that were saved this past Sunday and the Awesome Spirit that was present in the house of God!  It is amazing what God is able to do if we will simply get out of the way and let Him be God!

We had an awesome time in Mexico! God truly blessed as we saw many souls that were saved, and had the privilege of praying for people and even seeing people healed through the power of prayer. God is Good!

I would like you all to pray for our brothers and sisters in Mexico and those who are ministering in Mexico. Especially pray for Pastor Hector as he is ministering to those who have been deported from the US with only the clothes on their backs and papers in their pockets. They have no money, no jobs, no place to go. Pastor Hector welcomes them in: clothes them, feeds them, gives them a place to sleep, and introduces them to Jesus!  He is a remarkable man who is going a remarkable work for God.

Also, pray for Clay and Angie, who head up UTRI, taking people into Mexico to do the work of the Lord. Pray for direction for their ministry and pray that God will open up doors of mercy upon the work they are doing.

God Bless,
Pastor Chris

Prayers and Praises

Praise God for His blessings yesterday as one family joined the church and we also celebrated baptizing one more!

I stand amazed at what God is doing through LWM!  It seems as if so many doors are beginning to be opened and that there is so much excitement surrounding the ministry.  We are truly experiencing a time of favor!

Yesterday's message was simple:  We need the power of the Holy Spirit and Spiritual Unity if we are going to be able to go forward and not only grow and church, but see that church last during the storms that will come its way.
We need to be careful that all the things we do for ministry are being done for the right reasons and in the right Spirit.  Sure, we can see results when we do things in our own power and wisdom, but when we do things empowered by God ~ watch out!  Because that is when the true blessings are going to begin flowing.
So, this is my prayer today for LWM and for all those associated with the ministry: that we allow our thoughts, decisions and actions be led by the Spirit of God, and that we receive His power in all that we do!

Please pray for our mission trip to Mexico this coming Saturday.  We will be ministering in several areas in the next week.  Pray for safety, health, and a clear vision from God as to why we are there.

God Bless,
Pastor Chris

God is still GOOD!

Praise God for all the things that He is doing!!!

Let me begin by thanking God for the new family that joined the church yesterday, as well as the profession of faith by a young man!!  God is so good.
I want to thank all those who came forward to pray for our leadership!

Yesterday afternoon we held a vision meeting for all the new members and visitors who have been attending.  Attendance was good, and several people are being assimilated into the ministry of the church!

We are still awaiting an air-sample test to let us know if we are going to be able to use the new building or not.  Please pray that God would open these doors.  The building is 8000 sq. ft. and has several rooms for small groups and the other ministries we desire to start.

Please pray for our upcoming conference, "Celebrating God".  The conference will be held on Oct. 3rd, in McMinnville, TN.  We are praying that God will send us at least 500 people that we can invest in.

Praise God for all that He is doing.

God Bless,
Pastor Chris

The Power of Prayer & A Prayer Request

Praising God this morning for Cat, who made a profession of her faith and is going to be baptized this coming Sunday at Living Waters!

Prayer:  I was approached by a group of Christian businessmen who have an 8000 square foot building that they are making available for us to use, if it will serve our ministry purposes.  Please pray that we will make a wise decision in this matter.  The great news, NO RENT!!!!!

I spoke last Sunday on the power of prayer and the ability it has to change our lives, situations, relationships...well, everything!  If we are going to experience God's answer and the life He has for us, we must come to Him in prayer.
When we come:
1)Come without sin
2)Come without anger
3)Come without disagreement with those we are expected to agree with

Could this be why our prayer life suffers?  Could this be why we are not living the abundant life?  God wants us to come to Him!  After all, He is our Father, and He only wants what is best in our lives!

God Bless,
Pastor Chris

Jesus Is the ONLY Way!

I would like to begin by praising God for the opportunity to see Brittany baptized this past Sunday morning!
God continues to amaze as great things are happening at LWC, we are praying and ask that you please pray that God will give us the increase and that we will reach our community and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This past Sunday I spoke on The Building Block of Jesus, and our need as the church to understand that although we live in a society that teaches us to be tolerant and accepting of all religious views, there is only one way to heaven and that is Jesus Christ!

God's whole purpose in sending Jesus to the earth was to provide salvation for the entire world.  God saw and understood that man will never be able to keep a set of rules to the full in order to gain entrance into heaven.

The religions of the world ask their followers to live up to standards that NO man will ever be able to completely fulfill.  This leads to their judgment, and in return eternal separation from God.

All that God asks from His followers is that we believe on Jesus Christ and accept Him in our hearts.  After that, it is pretty easy; we are called to live for Him, love Him, worship & praise Him, and be a testimony of God's power to the unbelieving world.

If you are struggling today, put your faith in Christ!  Know beyond any shadow of a doubt that you have assurance of eternal life in the presence of God.

Report from June 7th Service at Living Waters Church

We are praising God for what He did yesterday:

4 new church members!
1 new sister in Christ!
2 babies dedicated to the Lord!
Debut of our puppet ministry!

I am so thankful for the progress that LWC is making!  I want to give a shout out to all those who are helping make things happen!  Know that without your help and your prayers, we would not be seeing God move the way He is moving.

I preached yesterday on the importance of us receiving the mercy of God and then passing the mercy of God on to others.  We will not grow as individuals or as a congregation if we are holding the grace of God all to ourselves.
Find someone today to forgive - to help - to encourage - to love.  Allow your hands and your feet to be the hands and feet of Christ today!

God Bless,
Pastor Chris

The Building Block of Sound Doctrine

First of all...Praise God for our 2 new sisters at Living Waters Church!

Yesterday, I began a series on Building a Growing Church, and stressed the need for us to be committed to sound doctrine.

When your life is committed to, and in touch with the Word of God, several good things come about:
1) Love from a pure heart ~ this will enable you to do what is best for the other person, regardless of what it may cost you, and even without receiving anything in return.
2) A good conscience - we live in a time when our inborn sense of right and wrong has been perverted (Jn. 16:2).  If you spend time in the Word of God, you will not be faced with so many gray areas, but instead will be able to correctly identify what is right and what is wrong.
3) Sincere faith - This allows you to know that you know that you know that you are a child of God!  There will be no doubting because you will understand that God's Word teaches when you are in the hand of your Father, you are safe and secure!

There is NO substitute for the Word of God being preached and taught in our churches.  If you will fill your life with God's Word, you will grow, and when the storms of life come, you will be able to stay the course and achieve your goals for God's Kingdom!

God Bless,
Pastor Chris

Blog Spot Started

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to send the word out that we are going to try to keep everyone updated on LWM through Facebook and Blogspot.
Also, I hope to post Bible Studies, Sermon ideas and weekly helps that will encourage you and lift you up!
One note of encouragement is that my book, Praying The Prayers of the Apostle Paul has been picked up by Barnes and Noble, www.BN.com!  Also, the publishing group has begun promoting the book in South Africa!  God is amazing.  Please be in prayer for us as we begin our talks with Lifeway this week.  It is extremely hard to break the ice and get in their stores, but God is a great big God and He can do anything!
I look forward to keeping in touch with you through this medium.  I hope that you will become a follower and ask that you please keep LWM in your prayers!

God Bless,
Pastor Chris
